Special Entry: Niko Niko Onigiri food review

Hooollllaaa people! Welcome or welcome back(to my faithful readers, thanks! :D) to my page,I am supposed to share this post earlier but too bad I was down with flu and fever these few days *Sigh!
Semester break has ended and I am back in Kampar. yay? I dont know :(
Kampar's weather is so unpredictable most of the time,it is 2pm when I am typing this and I supposed to feel warm but my fingers are freezing cold..Gosh I feel so reluctant to unwrap myself from my lovely blanket ><
Im like,
Source:Tumblr
As I mentioned in my previous post,I am going somewhere special with Maple and Pinky(a beauty blogger also a new friend) when I get back to Kampar. Also I promised to share this enjoyable visit with you all, so here's it! :D
The place that we visited is a Japanese cuisine restaurant called Niko Niko Onigiri in Kampar.

Before that,ehem!
Maple deserves some(maybe more?haha) credits because she was the one who invited me to this exciting event also not to forget the generous owner of this restaurant,Mr.Ray who let us to try on their foods for FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!YAY!Honestly, never in my life that I thought blogging can earn me so many golden experiences like these! You know meeting friends with common interest and get to try awesome things for free XD ngehehehhe! This is my very first time(being invited) to do food review, thus I was more than excited that day that I even brought along my notebook and the whole pencil case with me >< afraid of missing out important things that you all should know! And Maple was like: Seriously?are you coming for lecture class or something? -,- *doublefacepalm

**If you're anywhere near to Kampar,Perak please don't hesitate to read on because the best things are on their ways now! :D

TADDDAAAAA!!!
Niko2 Main entrance
If you're a Utarian or Ktarian I bet this place isn't strange to you eh?As you can see from the photo above, there are three different eateries selling different type of yummies but do you know that they are actually under the same owner?! :)) It doesn't sounds like a bad news to me because of that customers get to eat awesome Japanese food while chilling with a cup of Ochado, wah sounds so atas!(Singlish:high class) You may be familiar with Ochado and Fancy mee because they are already here for quite some time before Niko Niko joined in.

Disclaimer: we didn't request for any special services from the owner because we want to really dine in like an usual customer so that we can give the best and honest reviews about this restaurant :) Haha sounds like a pro huh? :P

As proposed by the name of the restaurant, they're selling ONIGIRI, NOT SUSHI.
Despite common misconceptions, onigiri is not a form of sushi.Onigiri is made with plain rice (sometimes lightly salted), while sushi is made of rice with vinegar, sugar and salt.(source:Wikipedia)
Now let's check out what have we ordered!
Before that,I would like to let you know that this restaurant is for ALL!By ALL I mean literally just anyone who is hunger for Japanese foods because this restaurant is 100%
Also they provide Onigiri for Vegetarian!

Now let's the fun begins!

Baby octopus
This is definitely one of my favorites!
Though at first I thought eating an octopus's baby sounds cruel
and somehow gross
but I was high up in the sky only at the first bit on it!
The sweet sauce coated octopus tasted rather crunchy as you chew on
Gosh I literally fell for it! {RECOMMENDED

Furikake & Tanuki Onigiri
Don't get tricked by the name!
I was surprise at first seeing "fried rice" instead of "plain rice"
wrapping in the thin sheet of seaweeds.
That's something special about this place because customers get to
customize their Onigiri according to their preferences!
Like adding cheese, opt for different rice..and more!
Tanuki rice is { HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

3 IN 1 SET
potato salad,pure Ebiko,sliced scallop,seaweed,rice and miso soup
more Ebiko!!!
This is a set where you can choose your favorite type of seasoned rice
and add in just any other 3 side dishes.
Opt for this if you're a big eater because the portion is kinda big(for me)
and this is definitely worth the price.
I used to dislike miso soup because it tastes too salty to me but
here I found it quite okay.tastier than Sushi king
Those tiny little Ebiko served with Japanese mayonaise are definitely to-die-for!
{ALSO RECOMMENDED}

Ramen

Honestly this plate was a little bit of disappointment /.\
well maybe I am the one who do not get used to eating ramen.
It tasted sweetish and cold when it was served (I know that's how it supposed to be)
but yeah.. too bad I'm not a fan of it.
But the jelly fish(at top right of photo) does taste really fresh and nice.

Emo girls...

Japanese Chili powder and Onigiri!
I actually wanted to show you all the size of an Onigiri but
I think this photo doesn't do it any justice because
it is actually quite a big portion and very fulfilling.

ONE last thing before I end..

I HATE DOING HOUSE CHORES!!!

Hello readers!How y'll doing?

Before I go into my main post today, here's a little shout out! :D
I've been staying at home for weeks now,and my semester break is going to end soon! *cry
but on the other hand I'm excited to go back to my college because myself and Maple (a blog friend also a college mate) are going to visit somewhere special when we get back to Kampar, and of course share it out on our blogs! So,don't say I never share :P You might not want to miss it!Be sure that you check out our blogs more frequent kay :) But don't worry,we will keep you up-to-date on our Facebooks. *pinky promised >.^

Alright, this time around I have something really fun to share and I bet everyone needs it!Being a home-away-girl myself ever since I was 13,make me loves going home more than anyone else because staying at home is simply heavenly good! You get to sleep at you favorite comfy bed and wake up to a mouth watering brunch well served at the dining hall, you need not to worry about your laundry because someone else is doing it for you,you get to play with your dogs and a lot more fun that I bet you know it yourself even though I skip mentioning it right?!Grrrrrrrrr...staying at home is so good! BUT........there's something that I really hate >< Not just it consumes my energy,it also consumes a lot of my time! >:(
Forgive me mum,but
I REALLY HATE DOING HOUSE CHORES!!!! ><

*comment if you hate it too, tell me that I'm not alone in this.haha
I hate it for some reasons,
firstly--- I hate to dirty my hands
2ndly--- My nose is allergy toward dusts
3rdly--- I hate it
4thly--- I just hate it for no reason -,-

But,hating it doesn't help at all because my mum are those super-responsible-mother-in-law-to-be
and she said:'' I must train you to do all the house chores before it is too late so that when you get married you know how to handle everything in your house, and your husband will not get a chance to blame me for not raising you well!Understand?!"

WHAT?!SERIOUSLY MUM?you're thinking too far... -,-

whatever~plus Chinese New Year is just around the corner which means anyhow cleanings have to start now /.\
So,I found some house chores hacks which I learnt from watching StarKing(a Korean variety show) few days ago and  I am going to share some with you, see if you agree that doing house chores can be  fun(really?!) and easy! :D

Princess's speed cleaning list!

1.) Restore car headlight with toothpaste!

2.)Hate folding clothes?Me too! There are two famous trick for folding clothes,
opt the one that pleases you!Personally prefer the 1st one,
because bringing a stupid cardboard with me when I go travel? No -,-
3.)Cleaning microwave with lemon or lemon juice or vinegar!
If you're scrubbing it,you're definitely working too hard.
For the three ingredients mentioned above the methods are all same :)

4.)Clean the toilet mirror or just any stained mirror
with a damp cloth and dry it up with a piece of newspaper, you'll will be blink blink-ly surprised :)

5.)I know it is a nightmare when you see fallen hair strands on the floor
sweeping it will be a waste of energy because everything(dust&hair) will be flying around. So
other than vacuum it, try sweeping it with the broom bristles wrapped with plastic bag.

6.)some painting tips!

7.)Don't throw away your toilet paper roll! They are really useful :)
Also you can put this DIY box in you wardrobe to keep ties or inner wears!

8.)Insert two rubber bands at each side it the cloth hanger
to avoid clothes from slipping off!

9.)Dusty couch with pet's fur? Clean your couch with masking tape!

10.)My favorite drink--Coca cola
can be used to remove rust and clean toilet bowl!
though it sounds yucky but it works unbelievably well ><

Okay here ends my lengthy post,I hope you enjoyed reading this post also I hope that it helps to solve some of your problems :) I'm gonna quit typing for now, chao~

Don't forget to donate me your thumbs!Your likes and comments mean a lot to me!
Happy cleaning everyone :)

With lots of loves,

xoxo

My new year resolutions!

2013 was great, but not for me. ;(
You must be asking me why,so here's my reason.

2013 was a year where I was supposed to search for directions, and to make a lot of important life-directing decisions.Sadly speaking I am well known for being indecisive, and it is something that I hate about myself. When I am placed between two equally good options, I'll definitely go insomnia.I'll need to spend countless sleepless night to think about it and literally break down at the end of the day -,-. 360 days out of 365 days of 2013 I was feeling down with all these mind cracking problems in my mind, and without I realized I slowly became socially awkward or more introvert I should say.All in all,I am not satisfied with previous year and I hope 2014 will be a better year for me and for us :)

So here are my new year resolutions!I'll reread this next year and see how far I can go :) If you're reading this, and you feel like listing yours too go ahead don't hesitate! Let's make 2014 a more prosperous one!

Princess's 2014 resolutions

1. Achieve balance between study and play
This is what I've always wanted to achieve because I think all these years I have always been a
'too hardworking, too stressed up' student.By saying play,I mean more outdoor activities with friends. It can be society events, community services, parties and whatsoever that is FUN!I'm so excited! :D

2.Lose some weight!
Yeapppp.....I've always been a lazy bump when it comes to exercise D; Some of the time you will see me jogging around because I love sweating but too bad I do it just for fun, because persistent is so not me..sigh!This year, let it be a year of transformation..I wanna kill more fats!!!

3.Kick laziness ass goodbye!
I have to admit this, I am a super lazy person and I am in conserving-energy mode all the time if possible.Especially when it comes to blogging, urgh I type at my grandpa's speed and believe it or not I always take more than hours to complete an entry which is super inefficient :( Not only that, doing house chores is one of the thing that I hated the most because I will be sneezing my nose off every time after cleaning due to my nose allergy. It sounds like an excuse to most of the people, including my mom so like it or not I'll still forced to do :(  Fine,I'll TRY to be a diligent this year.

4.Love more.
I don't know about you but I do think that 'love' posses a great energy, far more than one can ever imagined.I have always wanted to be like those who really shows their loves toward people around them, and shy not for the loves that they showed. Probably it is the cultures/traditions affection that most of the Asian especially Chinese found it hard to show they loves and cares to the people around them.I hate that we always think that it is really embarrassing to kiss our family members,to hug each other and to say 'I love you' to each other. :( So.I decided to ignite the fire by loving and caring for people around me more than I did previously.

5.Pick up piano!Upgrade in Ukulele!
Here's comes my life. The real life that I really enjoyed living in :) Didn't get a chance to learn piano at my younger age has always been one of my biggest regrets in life, so REALLY REALLY hope that I can get myself signed up for piano lesson this year! And of course some significant improvements in my ukulele learning journey!Let me tell you a secret! In fact, I just figured this out not long ago. :D I have decided that when I have my own house one day I will spare a room for 'my private jam room'.This may be a wishful thinking but I really looking forward to own  a complete set of musical instruments and have my jamming buddies party overnight at my house.Gosh, that's is heaven!

6.Read more good books!
I used to think that reading is something nerdy and dull, but a good book that I read proved me wrong! There's a wholesome of awesome things that we can learn from reading a book, and I am not kidding about that.I love reading inspirational novels for there hides a lot of useful life lessons that no one will ever teaches your nor tells you about it.I highly recommend 'The five people you met in heaven' by Mitch Albom  that I read last year, it really motivated me and changed my perspectives towards life. Now, I am looking forward for more exciting reading experiences!I have some books queuing up already,oh gosh I can't wait!

7.Get my journey started!
"I don't want to travel around the world, because it is boring!" said no one ever!Travel the world had always been on my To-do list since ages ago and I wish to kick off  my journey this year!By saying that,I will first get my passport ready, get a plus-sized backpack and go travel abroad whenever possible :D Hong kong? Taiwan?Aussie?UK? WHEREVER man!

Hmmm...there's a lot more to wish for..
But all in all I wish for a better year,a lovely family like it always be, good health for everyone,
and.......ehem..perhaps a partner for Valentines day's dinner package?hahahha!

I am excited to know about yours too!So, don't be shy to leave a comment down below aite! :D
Also don't forget to Like this post if you enjoyed reading :)

Happy New Year everyone! We gonna rock it! :D

XOXO
